The Sales and Sales Profit cubes contains members from the four primary dimensions - Customer, Item, Time and Measures as well as the Class and Growth  dimensions.  These cubes are the mainstays for Sales and Marketing analyses.

The basis context of both cubes are the same, but the Sales Profit cube has additional measures for reporting Profit measures using costs as defined by QuickBooks.

The following measures are available for the Sales and Sales Profit cubes
( measures shown in blue are only available in the Sales Profit cube):

  • Quantity Sold
  • Amount Sold
  • InvItmCost - Cost for Inventory Items
  • CGS Cost - Cost of Goods Sold for Non Inventory Items
  • COGS Total - Cost of Goods Sold for both Inventory and Non Inventory Items
  • Expenses
  • Price - Average Price per Item
  • InvItmCost/Unit - Cost for Inventory Item
  • CGS/Unit - Cost of Goods Sold for Non Inventory Item
  • Gross Profit - Sales (Income) less COGS Total
  • Gross Margin - Gross Profit as percent of Sales
  • Cost Margin - Gross Profit as percent of COGS Total
  • Item Selling - Number of Items (SKUs) selling
  • Wks Selling - Number of Weeks one or more Items were selling
  • Customers - Number of Customers who bought Items
  • Sales/Item - Average Dollar Sales per Item
  • Sales/Cust - Average Dollar Sales per Customer
  • Sales/Week - Average Dollar Sales per Week
  • Gross Profit/Item - Average Gross Profit per Item
  • Gross Profit/Cust - Average Gross Profit per Customer
  • Gross Profit/Week - Average Gross Profit per Week
  • Unit Rank - Item's rank based upon Quantity
  • Sales Rank - Item's rank based upon Sales
  • Gross Profit Rank - Item's rank based upon Gross Profit
  • Sales % Item - Item's Sales as a percent of Parent Sales
  • CTM - Contribution to Gross Margin
  • Unit % Item - Item's Quantity as a percent of Parent Quantity
  • Profit % Item - Item's Gross Profit as a percent of Parent Gross Profit
  • Sales % Cust - Customer's Sales as a percent of Parent Sales
  • Unit % Cust - Customer's Quantity as a percent of Parent Quantity
  • Profit % Cust - Customer's Gross Profit as a percent of Parent Gross Profit
  • CumeSales - Item's cummulative Sales when ranked with other Items
  • CumeUnits - Item's cummulative Quantity when ranked with other items
  • CumeSales% - Item's cummulative Sales as a percent of Parent Sales
  • CumeUnits% - Item's cummulative Quantity as a percent of Parent Quantity
  • Item Type - text description of the Item's Type
